Job Description
Position Description: The Packaging Associate position assists the Packaging Manager in all aspects of chocolate packaging. Responsibilities include picking, packing, filling, labeling and wrapping. This position reports to the Packaging Manager.
Company Description: A chocolate house - since 1923. We make old-world artisan chocolates in small batches
Position Hours: This position is for a permanent second shift that is Tuesday- Friday 11:30 am - 8pm and Saturday 9 am - 5:30 pm off Sunday and Monday
Specific Responsibilities include:
Chocolate Making: Cook and prepare chocolate confections in accordance with the production plan.
Produces the chocolate molds in accordance with our prescribed recipes and cooking methods.
Duties include cooking, prepping, cutting, mixing, and other kitchen tasks.
Ensure all chocolate produced meets our quality standards for size, shape, coverage, etc.
Responsible for keeping the pace of production on schedule to meet customer requirements.
Machine Operations: Set up, maintain, and clean the chocolate machines as required.
Set up the machines each day to prepare for production, in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Monitor and maintain machine standards for temperatures, fill rate, flames, etc.
Alert the Master Chocolatier of any irregularities or issues.
Ensure all machines are clean and well maintained, as required.
Quality Control: Responsible for meeting quality standards.
Ensure all chocolate produced meets our quality and brand standards.
Follow all sanitation / health department regulations.
Alert the Master Chocolatier regarding any irregularities or concerns.
Team Player: Be a reliable key member of our kitchen team.
Bring a great attitude and a strong work ethic into the kitchen.
Be a team player with a can-do approach to get the job done on time and in full.
Be responsible to your team members.
