Our client company is seeking an experienced chemist to be responsible for developing product blend recipes and coordinating and directing movements in order to meet pipeline and local rack shipping demand for their refinery.

You must be willing to:
Generate optimal blend recipes for light oil products which minimize product quality giveaway/maximize profitability
Monitor/manage inventories of blend stocks/finished products
Work closely with corporate marketing/scheduling personnel
Maintain inventory projections for clean products/use projections to guide production/marketing decisions
Provide instructions to operations personnel for gasoline blends/transfers
Produce monthly product quality reports
Assist with special product blending studies/forecasts

Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY)
BS Chemical Engineering/Chemistry
Minimum of 2-4 years' refinery process/engineering/laboratory experience
Strong working knowledge of the fundamentals of refinery operations
Experience with LP modeling/other advanced planning/scheduling tools preferred
Proficient in MS Excel
Strong written/verbal communication
