Data Product Manager Chicago Purpose of the Role We are actively looking for aData Product Managerto add to our growing our Data and Analytics team. This role requires experience using a variety of data analysis methods, and data tools; building and implementing tools and models that leverage financial market data sets and volatility analytics. Focused individual who has a strong technical background that can lead and indirectly influence both IT and business teams to scale and deploy products in a cross-functional organizational environment. Responsibilities This position is responsible for one or more data products and will operate with a minimal amount of guidance and supervision. Initial products include an equity volatility charting tool and supporting data clients developing a variety of retail trading applications. The primary role is to work with the Data & Analytics business development team to evaluate customer requirements and define, develop, and implement new products leveraging datasets, tools, and delivery methods within the company environment. The Product Manager will have a direct reporting relationship to the business manager and will collaborate with quantitative developers, developers, and UI/UX teams and all internal stakeholders to develop products that can be derived from our company's equity, futures, and options datasets. The role will work with the business development team to support client conversations regarding the use of our datasets and these products or signals. The Product manager will collaborate with internal resources to draft and publish white papers, blogs, and make presentations describing new and existing products and product use cases to support dataset marketing. The Product Manager is ultimately responsible and accountable for the successful delivery and implementation of the products. As needed, they will help guide all aspects of product development and launch including product definition, data engineering, or software development, UX design, and product marketing. Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications 5+ years general financial market industry and trading experience. Experience can be direct trading or other forms of market participation such as working at exchanges, providing product expertise to market participants, developing, or supporting trading tools, or other roles associated with financial market data. Experience with option trading and option data, volatility calculations including the forecasting of volatility. Experience using different databased tools or visualization tools (MYSQL, MariaDB, SQL, Tableau, other similar products) Experience with data analysis, and using scripting languages and statistical tools (Python, R, etc.) Previous experience developing trading tools including UX design or development a plus. Work experience in a mathematical, statistical, computer science, engineering, physics, economics or related quantitative field, or equivalent experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good time management and analytical skills, proven success in project results.
