Responsibilities: Lead key efforts, including build out of new product features, design & development of new microservices, and extending Credit Karmas platform to new countries and markets. o Develop code and tests to implement product features. o Participate in code reviews. o Support deployable software through implementation of logging, monitoring, and operating procedures. o Perform support and maintenance of released software. Drive a technical vision for the engineering organization around member support tooling: o Creating design documents: o Participate in whiteboarding and and design session with the team; o Participate in team strategy meetings. Take an active role in the technical growth of other team members, and the processes that support overall team growth: o Review code and designs of others; o Advise others on software development approaches; o Introduce and explain new technologies to the team. Scope and planning work across multi-team efforts, working closely with business partners to define a product vision in technical terms, and plan implementation and delivery: o Assist in the planning software development schedules; o Provide regular status on deliverables; o Coordinate delivery of deliverables across functions (including release management and QA). Take ownership of assigned service(s) to drive and support execution of projects and act as resident expert on the team: o Own Deep-Linking maintenance and expansion efforts at Credit Karma; o Perform code reviews and provide technical assistance to external contributors; o Coordinate with business stakeholders as well as native engineering team as needed. Partner with other engineering teams to integrate existing services and architecture to help solve business and technology problems: o Integrated systems using Node.js, Typescript, Javascript, Nginx and Lua; o Build front-end applications with React, HTML and CSS. Identify gaps within and ways to improve existing and/or planned initiatives: o Proactively recommend simple and creative solutions to processes, systems and technical debt that will benefit our customers; o Profile, analyze and improve the performance and scalability of services owned. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related subject area, plus one (1) year of experience in job offered, Software Engineer I, Software Engineer II, or related occupation.
