Database Architect

I am looking for a Data lake Architect for BNY Mellon:

( US Citizens or GC candidates only) ( looking for a Candidate with 5-8 Years of Architecture experience)

Project: Data Architect

Location: New York, NY or New Jersey, NJ ( 2 days on-site Hybrid role)

Job Duration: 12 months CTH

Enterprise Data Management Data Strategy, Process Strategy, etc.

Existing Group: This person will be the first hire and foundational building block.

At first, Rain will give them a good amount of direction, and they will get advice and priorities on up to 6 different things simultaneously.

Support the Masters and Data Lake

These have features and capabilities for the consumers to use, and they need to be able to "sell" these across the enterprise.

They are trying to find an architecture overlay (the bridge between the engineers to the architecture group). These will connect the dots to ensure the disparate parts of the platform are working together.

It does not need a generalist or a specialist, but a versatilist (someone between those two extremes)

He wants someone that can grow into an expert.

Master Data Management and Data Lakes are the primary things they will work on.

Will build Platform and Product roadmaps:

Some Technologies: Snowflake, Hadoop, Pentaho, SQL, and other data visualization are nice but not mandatory.

Interview Process: Phone Screen to start and then move to

Financial Services experience is nice to have but not required

Career Path: Looking for someone that grew into an architect: data modeler, data architect, or enterprise arch. OR Java Dev, App Arch, to enterprise arch.

Does not need a lot of large group experience because they want someone flexible and able to learn new things.

It needs someone who can work with many different groups to build consensus around.
