Founded in Berlin, Germany, ubitricity operates in a number of European countries, and is the largest public EV charging network in the UK with over 4,500 charge points, discreetly integrated into lampposts. In the UK, we have an ambition to install 50,000 on-street chargers by the end of 2025.

Join our passionate, ambitious, international team to play a key part in bringing on-street charge points to residential areas and have a real impact on the drive to net-zero emissions.

The Role
As the Bid Manager, you ll be reporting into the Strategy and Commercial Director to lead our bids to deploying EV charging to Local Authorities across the country. You ll be at the cutting edge of how we re growing our business. In this role you will work alongside Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance to develop compelling bids to enable ubitricity to accelerate the roll out of EV charging.

We are looking for an experienced bid professional with deep experience in public procurement and a track record of working with large and complex tenders and great communications and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant, professionally produced and commercially sound proposals
  • Produce high quality submissions against rapid and frequent deadlines
  • Develop bid materials, including developing standard bid content, presentations and proposals
  • Project manage the bid process, including establishing an agreed project plan and timeline, allocating tasks, risk logs and stakeholder management plans
  • Ensure best practice and adherence to existing bid procedures, governance, and processes
  • Develop relationships with key framework providers
  • Manage the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process with support from the Strategy Manager for new opportunities
  • Maintain various internal records and produce reports on market activity

Your profile

What You ll Bring

  • Effective stakeholder management and superb communication skills
  • Positive, pragmatic and proactive
  • Comfort with ambiguity and evolving / adapting as conditions change
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 5 + years working as a Bid Writer or Bid Manager in the public procurement sector
  • Experience of managing complex, multi-workstream opportunities
  • Deep understanding of public sector procurement processes and regulations
