Job Description
The incumbent would be an individual contributor, would work under specific deadlines and should be capable of handling heavy workloads in both oracle & SQL databases,
Added advantage of having exposure towards Cloud Infrastructure.
Essential Oracle DBA Skills Include-
- Experience on handling production oracle databases in Unix environment
- Work experience in 24 X 7 environments.
- Knowledge on 10g,9i and 8i database creations and software binaries installations in Unix environment
- Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008/R2 and 2012 and 2014, 2016 and 2017, 2019.
- Install & configured the SQL Server 2019, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012 Cluster server (Active-Passive) setups in windows server 2012r2 and Windows 2016r2.
- Good experience and troubleshooting the Log shipping, Mirror, and replication issues.
- Good experience in to set up Active/passive cluster servers.
- Installing SQL server latest service packs on cluster servers and Standalone servers.
- DR Failover/Failback to Log shipping & Mirror, Replication Databases & Cluster servers.
- Good experience in OMS& Migration activities on Azure cloud, SQL Azure Cloud Migration
- Creating and implementing Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Experience in analysis of data tablespace, TEMP, UNDO tablespace growth.
- Knowledge on performance tuning of database
- Knowledge on Exports, Imports, Data pump, Rman.
- Hands on experience on cloning of databases.
- Hands on experience on databases restorations and recoveries.
- Knowledge on RAC installation and maintenance.
- Hands on experience on CPU patching and upgrades.
- Good knowledge on user account maintenance.
- Hands on experience on Statspack, AWR report analysis.
- Knowledge in writing shell scripts and perl scripts.
Essential Non-Technical Qualities Include-
- Good Communication and Problem-solving Skills
- Good Team Player and must have capable of leading the shift.
- Exposure to / awareness of ITIL v2/v3 is a plus
- Knowledge on process defining and redefining.
