Job Description
Data Protection Admin
Work Location: USA-Remote to Start
Primary: EMC Networker & Secondary: EMC Avamar & Data domain
Must-Have
- 10+ years of experience in Networker and other backup tools like Avamar
- Installation, Configuration and Administration of Networker.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for any backup and restore failures/issues and proactive problem solving
- Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, Data Domain replication, intellisnap Backup, Data Recovery, Storage Node management
- Very good knowledge in restore and DR activities
- Knowledge in end to end backup/restore process and reporting/automation
- Problem Solving
- Good Knowledge about RMAN/SQL/VMware/NAS backup configuration and Administration
- Cloud library configurations
Good-to-Have
- Good hands-on experience on other related technologies e.g. SAN, NAS, Tape Backup etc.
- Knowledge on CommVault, Netbackup, Cloud Boost, Cloud Endure, Site Recovery Manager
- Experience of Vmware, OS (Windows, Linux, Solaris)
- Configuring and Maintaining NDMP backups for various NAS technologies
- Good communication and analytical skills
