Sr. Financial Business Analyst

Locations for the role: Owings Mills, MD hybrid schedule (2 days on site, 3 days remote)

Downtown Baltimore, MD (Pratt St) - hybrid schedule (2 days on site, 3 days remote)

*MUST BE ON SITE DAY 1*

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Sr. Financial Business Analyst with some Project Management experience. You will be planning, directing and coordinating activities in engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out for projects. You will coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. You will present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients. You will recruit employees, assign, direct, evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. You will analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. You will confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. You will review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience required
  • Experience with project and asset management
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred
  • Understanding of Asset Management, Derivatives, Data, and Data Governance
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.
  • Previous experience working for a financial institution

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • 5+ years Asset Management experience.
  • 3+ years Front Office Investment Management project delivery experience.
  • 4+ years Front Office Investment Management business analyst experience.
  • Worked closely with Back Office or Trading in either a project manager or business analyst capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and being able to work with people across multiple locations.
  • Experience of facilitating meetings with stakeholders to review and solve key issues.
  • Ability to work well with people with varying technical, business and cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience working with senior management in formal presentations, escalations and issue resolutions.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to translate and simplify complex business
