Experienced Trucking Dispatcher & Mechanical Technician

Summary
We are looking for a Skilled Trucking Dispatcher & Mechanical Technician to receive orders from our customers, coordinate on logistics, then dispatch drivers to complete the work properly. They will also manage and perform basic diagnostic and repair work, including scheduled preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes, and necessary repairs to trucks. The salary range will between $15/hr to $22/hr.

Major Responsibilities:
Trucking Dispatcher
Utilize logistics software (Visual Dispatch) to optimize procedures and schedule jobs.
Supervise CDL drivers
Coordinate brokers orders.
Make sure paperwork is turned in daily to the front office.
Communicate with brokers and drivers to achieve the best possible outcome.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all company and customer policies
Develop and maintain relationships with customers
You will be "On-call" over the weekends and at nights.
Mechanical Technician
Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary
Complete oil and filter changes
Computer-based diagnostics interface with modern truck interfaces
Adherence to DOT regulations
Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
Answer road calls
Maintain vehicle records as required
Maintain and repair fleet equipment
Fill out all necessary documents
Maintain records such as daily check list (pre-trip inspection)

Background Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Heavy Equipment Mechanical Technician or 5 years experience equivalent
Dispatching/Coordinator experience (3 years experience)
Commercial Driver's License: CDL Permit or Class A CDL or ability to obtain Class A CDL [90 days] post-hire
Able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without an accommodation)
Able to reach, lift, carry, push and pull (with or without an accommodation)
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent management and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail (bilingual/trilingual is a plus)
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
Excellent organization / time management skills
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Experience in Logistics coordination
Experience in heavy machinery
Experience in customer service
General knowledge of laws, regulations, and DOT requirements
Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
