Video Editor - Kids YouTube Channel

Are you a video editor who enjoys working on live-action kids' content? Do you like being creative and building kids' narratives? Are you a digital video native who loves consuming content on YouTube? If so, then this is the role for you!

We are in search of a passionate video editor for our portfolio of kids' Youtube channels. We are after a video editing talent who is excited about creating fun, educational and sometimes silly content.

Our channels have strong characters and personalities and we want a dedicated creative to help us tell fun and engaging stories for kids and bring the existing characters even more to life!

The day-to-day role will include video editing, video and graphic design, repurposing existing and archive video content and other general edit support across our kids' content.

Tasks

• Create original videos to be published across YouTube and other video and social media platforms in line with briefs, data and feedback
• Bring to life raw footage, turning it into fantastic story-led YouTube content for kids, whilst being creative and maintaining the right tone of voice.
• Designing thumbnails, on-screen gfx, creating clips, editing compilations, optimising videos based on the editorial agenda
• Working collaboratively with the wider team across ideation, production process and optimising video and image content
• Reversioning content for best performance across other social platforms
• Reporting to the Kids Content Manager as well as daily interactions with the wider production team
• Owning the post-production process and archiving of your projects

Requirements

• 1-2 years of video editing experience.
• Essential to have good knowledge of and be passionate about kids' content.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects (Animations, Subtitling, Lower thirds, and implementation of kids' effects.)
• Ability to work with voice-over audio and creatively elevate and enhance
• Strong knowledge of different video formats, video compression, sound/video synchronisation, downloading from an archive system.
• Strong knowledge of / passion for kids' content, particularly on YouTube and insight to what keeps an audience engaged
• Great communication skills as the role requires constant communication with the team.
• Experience working with green screen footage is a plus.
• Great attention to detail.
• Creative yet highly organised individual.
• Agile and keen to try out new content ideas.
• Impeccable knowledge of the English language.
• Fast internet connection
