Job Description
We are looking for you - If you are pragmatic, encourage innovation, and like being challenged to work on cutting-edge solutions in an advanced cloud and dynamic agile environment, surrounded by amazingly competent and passionate engineers! We are seeking to hire an experienced conscientious Senior Software Engineer who will help design and implement scalable software solutions on a cloud platform.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a team of talented software engineers and subject matter experts to design, build, test and deploy software solutions that contribute to various studio workflows.
- Work with the design team to build out and develop front end user interfaces using React.
- Work with other engineers to build out services/APIs required for various applications.
- Work within an agile scrum process to prioritize and estimate work in user stories.
- Troubleshoot issues and fix defects
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years industry experience
- Strong full stack developer with experience building React/Node.js applications
- Experience with common web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, DOM
- Experience with JavaScript, ES6, and Node.js
- Experience working with REST APIs and GraphQL
- Knowledge and experience using source control and CI: GitLab, GitHub
- Team player with strong oral and written communications skills
- Experience working with databases: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc.
- Knowledge and experience working with Cloud Platforms: AWS or Azure
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
- Experience with Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team building efforts.
- Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
