Job Description


Controls Engineer Job Responsibilities and Duties



  • Troubleshoots problems with processes and hardware

  • Plans preventive maintenance

  • Coordinates with others in order to determine problems and implement solutions

  • Provides technical assistance as needed by internal customers

  • Manages relations with vendors

  • Defines performance metrics


Controls Engineer Job Requirements



  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred

  • 2 to 4 years of work experience in a related field

  • Proficient in computer-aided design and drafting software

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope

  • Ability to interpret and implement specifications



  • Advanced knowledge of Rockwell Automation PLC programming platforms: RSLogix 500, 5000, Studio 5000, Connected Components Workbench, (Omron CX-Programmer, Siemens S7, Mitsubishi GXWorks 2/3 or others are a plus).

  • Advanced knowledge of Rockwell Automation HMI development software: FactoryTalk View Studio ME, Studio 5000 View Designer, (Automation Direct C-More, Proface GP-ProX, EasyBuilder Pro, or others are a plus).

  • Vision system programming experience: Keyence, Cognex, Teledyne DALSA



Up to 20% travel to assist with setup and debug
