Sheet Metal Team Member
Harlan, IA
$16-17/hour
Our Harlan, Iowa manufacturing client is looking to hire a Sheet Metal Team Member to their 1st shift operations (M-F 6am-2:30pm). This is a growing organization that offers great growth opportunities. Qualified candidates will be self-directed and quality minded.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints or product specifications to determine process sequence for fabricating and assembling sheet metal products.
Know how to locate and use all drill press dies and fixtures and adjust to make a part to print.
Must be able to work from prints, work orders, pick lists and verbal and written instructions to perform duties.
Will use various measuring instruments such as tape measure, dial calipers, micrometer, square, protractor, height gauge, and test fixtures.
Operate hand tools and fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, punch presses, bandsaw, miter saw, routers, piece, bend, cut, block and form and straighten materials.
Job Qualifications:
2-5 years minimum of experience in a sheet metal shop environment.
Must have experience operating the following machines; autosaw, shear, ironworker, and press brake.
Program and layout experience with CNC nesting software a plus.
Must be able to read blueprints.
