Job Description

Our Mechanical Equipment Package Engineer position offers you an attractive career opportunity to work on exciting medium to large scale Marine and Offshore projects in our Singapore office. Responsibilities Lead discussion with Computational Structural Dynamics team and other engineering team members (i.e.yard engineering, basic design and etc.), including subcontractors and consultants on technical issues and design solutions in meeting project deliverables Perform functions of Mechanical Lead Engineer, establish mechanical deliverables, prepare related FEED & procurement engineering documents, Vibration Analysis documents, conduct technical bid evaluation and review VCDs independently for marine and utility equipment in meeting customers expectations Lead FEM Thermal Analysis team in project meeting, attends to technical queries from Finite Element Consulting Team and issues related to mechanical design and reviews the deliverables (i.e. Equipment Specification, Mechanical Datasheet, Technical Requisition, system specification, function description, etc.) Generate reports on work progress of Structural Engineering Services performed and submits to senior team members for review and approval before submitting to owners, statutory and classification authorities for approval Independently prepare deliverables with reference to Contract Specification, FEM Modeling workscope, Process Data, P&ID etc to deliver safe, secure and fully functional facilities based on the customers safety and reliability standards Monitors the progress of subcontractors and Stress Analysis Services vendors in offering guidance to deliver Vibration Consulting documents which required as an input in meeting project deliverables Leads Finite Element Stress Analysis Team in the generation of detailed Fatigue Simulation calculations, analysis and solutions for mechanical design to deliver safe, secure and fully functional facilities based on the customers safety and reliability standards Monitors technical correctness, quality and progress of all aspects of mechanical engineering and Finite Element Analysis Consulting project deliverables to support new-builts machineries fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning in the operating systems and sub-systems Requirements Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Marine Engineering or related engineering disciplines Minimum 5 years of working experience in planning, designing, construction of mechanical design and Pipe Stress Engineering in the oil and gas industry or related Fatigue Analysis Services Companies. Possess understanding of the marine and utility equipment working principles, control logic, operation and maintenance requirements. Familiar with different brand /model of marine and utility equipment in the market Able to develop/deliver Mechanical Datasheet, marine and utility equipment specification, Fatigue Failure Analysis methodology, Technical Requisition, etc for procurement activities purpose Able to review deliverables (e.g. P&ID, process datasheet, load FEM Stress Analysis, instrument & control specification etc) from other disciplines (i.e. process, electrical, instrument & control, structure etc) Possess skills of reviewing vendor delivered documents such as Vibration Fatigue Analysis and Piping Stress Analysis report generated during detailed engineering phase. Possess knowledge of Finite Element Thermal Analysis methodology concepts, equipment handling requirements and able to provide input or advice during 3D model review.
