Job Description

RN CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A MINIMUM of 2 YEARS INTERMEDIATE / PROGRESSIVE / STEPDOWN experience in medium to large sized facilities. CURRENT EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. MUST have ACLS (AHA), and BLS (AHA.) This is a high acuity 18-bed Progressive Care Unit with patient flow in and out of other progressive / critical care units. Previous critical care and ventilator experience is helpful. General nurse/patient ratio is 1:3 with some variability. Patient population includes range of medical/surgical progressive care patients, including COVID-19. Strong comfort level needed with progressive care for patients also with possible emergent changes in patient status, including need for intubation; comfort level with skills including: BiPAP and chest tubes, along with multiple drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, and Morphine (for comfort care). We include care to tracheostomy to ventilator patients, jut not ETT to ventilator patients unless waiting on ICU bed. Floating may be required to Sister unit, 3 West PCU and other related units including Med Surg. Safety Sensitive Position: Safety Sensitive Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act (OMMA), is defined as any job that includes tasks or duties that the employer believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others. This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position. This statute allows employers to lawfully refuse to hire applicants for safety-sensitive jobs or to discipline or discharge employees who work in safety- sensitive jobs if they test positive for marijuana, even if they have a valid license to use medical marijuana. Candidate must be able to pass basic dysrhythmia, basic hemodynamic monitoring and medication exams on first day. Schedule: every other weekend or every weekend can be considered. SAINT FRANCIS SUBMISSION COVER SHEET REQUIRED OR PROFILE WILL BE DECLINED. Cover sheet must include distance from permanent address which must be greater than 100 miles to qualify. Start date : TUESDAYS
