Responsibilities:
- Analyze federal and state regulations for Food and Cash programs like SNAP, TANF, etc.
- Perform routine operations tasks i.e., monitoring incident management tool, initial triage, produce reports, stat files,
- Responsible to lead and provide guidance to other Operation team members on day-to-day project operation activities,
- Troubleshoot errors and application issues via periodic testing, help desk tickets, and other methods,
- Prioritization and Escalation of the incident based on business needs for the software and any issues they are experiencing,
- Replicate production issues in lower environment based on the details provided in the incident management tool,
- Perform initial triage of production incidents to identify code or data issues,
- Provide application support for business users,
- Diagnose incident, define and co-ordinate the implementation of solutions individually and with other team members,
- Work with software vendor to have application issues fixed, both short term and long term,
- Perform root cause analysis and share the report with the team,
- Understand the business requirement of the project and validate test coverage,
- Verify and validate the test scenarios based on business requirements,
- Verify data in production environment to ensure the data is reconciled, related, and reasonable.
- Execute identified test scenarios and test cases using test data identified and document the test results for any production issue fixed in lower environment,
- Identify, document and report defects / incidents in Test management tool with issue description, steps to reproduce, screenshots and proper defined severity and priority,
- Perform sanity testing to ensure that the code changes introduced are working as expected,
- Communicate with Developers on issues and suggest remediation,
- Participate and contribute to the on-going development of the team by sharing information, knowledge, expertise, and lessons learned on a regular basis,
- Resolve Incidents, Service requests and raise/track change request & problem tickets to closure.
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
- 4 or more years of experience with State integrated eligibility systems operations and/or implementation as a functional consultant or equivalent positions like Business Analyst, Process Analyst, etc.
- Able to play an active role in an operations and maintenance project with excellent troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge on deploying Java application into WAS/JBOSS
- Integration knowledge with Rule engine i.e., Corticon, LDAP integration using API's
- Working knowledge of SVN/GIT for configuration management, code check in/checkout merging etc.
- Working knowledge of Rational Application Developer or higher
- Working knowledge of CI- CD pipeline using Jenkins.
- 4+ years of work experience
- 4+ years of experience in eligibility systems determining eligibility and benefits for Food and Cash programs like SNAP, TANF, etc.
- At least 4+ years of experience with sound technology understanding of Java /J2EE.
- At least 4+ years of experience in development, testing, deployment of applications using of Java, J2EE, JSP, JavaScript, Html5, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Workflow, Hibernate, Webservices (SOAP/REST), Jasper
- Working knowledge of DB2, SQL/ TSQL queries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for communicating testing requirements, cases, and scenarios.
- Proven ability to engage with clients on day-to-day work without supervision
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- In addition to Food and Cash knowledge, basic knowledge of Medicaid program regulations will be a plus
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education. Candidate's that have completed a Master's degree program strongly preferred.
