Your Tasks:

At IONOS, our technical writers combine their love for tech, ability to write, and strong customer focus to deliver high-quality, well-organized documentation and code examples developers rely on to build solutions using IONOS Cloud services. As a Senior Technical Writer, you ll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment to produce world-class product documentation. We are looking for great writers with technical solid proficiencies to help our users succeed with our rapidly evolving suite of products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on writing, updating, and delivering concise product documentation.
• Support document change process and periodic documentation release.
• Review all technical documentation being issued by the product and Design teams, including but not limited to narratives, drawings, sheets, specifications, user manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc.
• Support product engineering teams with effective writing, creation, and standardization of product documentation.
• Independently research, plan, lead, and deliver content initiatives
• Mentor other technical writers and team members regarding best practices and other process knowledge.
• Drive the strategy and planning for product documentation in collaboration with engineering and product owner teams.
• Develop code samples, interactive tutorials, and process flows to help developers get up to speed quickly.

We Appreciate:

• A Bachelor s degree in a field such as English, Computer Science, or any related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud computing/web services or related areas.
• Experience working as a technical writer in an Agile team and collaborating with product managers, product owners, and developers.
• Experience working with a "Docs as Code" workflow and leading large content initiatives.
• Excellent content planning and organization skills.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
• Ability to gather information through a variety of methods, including interviews, hands-on work with the product, chat, and email.
• General familiarity with one or more coding languages.
• Experience with workflows and tooling used by engineering, operations, and product teams, such as Git, Markdown, DITA, OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, Confluence, and JIRA.
