We are looking for a world-class Cloud Data Engineer to join our team in Berlin / Remote, and help us digitalize the nautical industry by delivering critical insights leading Zizoo to success.

Tasks

• Work in a small cross-function agile BI team providing critical BI insights to the entire company
• Take on an influential role in architecting and developing data processing infrastructure and workflows (ETL/ELT)
• Work closely with BI team in order to build complex datasets
• Implement data QA processes
• Provide BI Team with technical mentorship
• Support of BI stack, including modifying and improving existing solutions
• Work closely with key stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Be a data advocate, helping further develop Zizoo s data-driven culture

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing end-to-end data processing pipelines
• Very curious, pragmatic and willing to take on responsibilities very rapidly
• Extremely proficient in data modelling and database design-of-the-art in BI architecture
• Extremely proficient in SQL, Python and Apache Airflow with experience in building workflows
• Extremely proficient in data modelling and database design
• Experience with working with APIs (JSON, Unstructured data etc)
• Working experience with BI cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP. dbt a bonus)
• Working experience with cloud data warehouses (Redshift, Big Query or Snowflake)
• Working experience in version control using Git (Github, Gitlab etc)
• Excellent English language communication skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Clarity, openness, and enthusiasm in communication with colleagues across domains
• Interested in the business behind the data, and working together with the analysts to make the best of the data
• Very structured and process-oriented
• Passion for documentation
