ScienceLife is a young startup which aims to accelerate the world's transition to open research. Through our scientific networking and data curation platform our goal is to create a highly collaborative, efficient and transparent scientific community.

About us

We are a strong team of three highly ambitious and motivated cofounders. Gabriele Zirpoli (CEO) is a PhD researcher in Chemistry at the ETH, Leonidas Emmanouilidis (CPO) is a Post Doc researcher in Biochemistry at the ETH, and Ulziit-oyu Bor (CFO) has a background in Finance with work experience in a successful fintech Swiss startup.

Opportunity

We are looking for a cofounder as our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join us on this strenuous, long, uncertain but incredibly exciting journey.

Responsibilities

You will provide sound technical leadership towards the development of our platform. You will identify the resources we need in order to build the product and you will be responsible for hiring and managing teams of developers to complete projects effectively. As CTO you will provide a face and personality to represent the technical endeavours of our company to inspire trust in the product that we are building.

• Be a self-starter and a team-player.
• Take ownership and operate with first principles thinking.
• Have excellent relationship management and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Have a strong customer-centric mindset.
• Be in Switzerland (preferably Z rich)

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, SQL, NoSQL.
• Basic design skills (UI & UX design, prototypes, scalability etc.)
• Fluency in English.
