Job Posting Title: Contractor - Digital (Data Quality Analyst)

Location: Vienna, VA (local candidate, must come into office 2 days per week, Hybrid Only)

Responsibilities

• Perform data quality audits, identify data collection issues, suggest improvements, and help implement fixes.
• Support the documentation and implementation of data quality policies, standards, and procedures for both legacy and new data environments.
• Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
• Own design, develop and deliver data quality and data profile best practices

Requirements

• 2+ years data quality experience
• 2+ years of SQL, and data modeling
• 4+ years of related experience in data governance/data management/quality assurance
• Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with the possible solution(s), document the changes, and communicate to the change to the organization
• Experience in defining and implementing data governance best practices, documenting data flow & process mapping, or a data steward responsible for the metadata management, data quality, KPIs, etc.
• Strong experience in documenting data requirements, data strategy and data rules (standardization, cleanse, and validation)

Job Posting Title: Data Analyst

Location: Remote or Hybrid for local candidates

Description: Data Analyst

To support the Information System Division and the enterprise by providing comprehensive data analysis solutions to support engineering solutions to translate Navy Federal's business vision and strategies into effective IT and business capabilities through the design, implementation, and integration of IT systems using the legacy data systems and Azure. The Data Analyst will be responsible for performing data analysis and supporting the evolution, development, and governance of Navy Federal's Data with a specific focus on a compliance project (Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL)) bringing in data into Cloudera Data Platform Data Lake.

Required (Individual Role):

• Agile experience
• Advanced SQL query programming skills
• Experience in documenting source data requirements and providing mappings between business terms, source system tables/columns, and logical data models, including derivation rules and transformations as data specifications
• Experience in conducting analysis of data contained in source systems and its suitability and inclusion in cloud data platforms via data profiling and mapping documents, considering data completeness, granularity, volume, latency, consistency and location details
• Proficient in understanding data ingestion pipeline processes, including exception handling, and metadata management
• Experience in supporting data migration efforts of both structured and unstructured data from existing systems to an on prem data lake
• Experience in statistical analysis
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired (Individual Role):

• Experience in data management solutions using Hadoop platform tools and technologies such as Apache HDFS, Sqoop, Spark, Hive, Impala, HBase, Kafka, as well as Python, Java, or Scala
• Advanced degree in MIS, computer science, statistics, marketing, management, finance or related field
• Ability to interpret and update complex technical documentation
• Prior experience in the Financial Industries and large banks
