ABOUT THE TEAM

Engineers build the bank: Our Engineering competence strives for technical excellence, efficiency and a state-of-the-art experience for our customers. We believe in using the best tools for the task at hand with an eye into the future and working together to democratise wealth. We are the foundation pillars of Trade Republic.

You will lead a team in one of our Product Domains related to your Investing & Trading, Banking and Mobile services.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• You will play a vital role in the engineering team and be the ultimate owner of engineering performance and business impact
• You will grow and develop the team by coaching your direct reports to have a positive impact on the organisation and chart a fulfilling career path
• You will be a thoughtful technical voice and support your team in making diligent architectural decisions
• You will collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter
• You will communicate Trade Republic s engineering vision and roadmap clearly to the rest of the company
• You will source and hire amazing engineers who will expand the Trade Republic culture and product
• You will contribute to owning and delivering processes, drive engineering quality and meet our engineering duties
• You will continue to build a strong public brand for engineering at Trade Republic
• You will add positive energy in every meeting and make your coworkers feel included in every interaction
• You will follow new technology in the broader industry and work to incorporate into Trade Republic s engineering where appropriate

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• You have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering
• You have at least 2 years of engineering management experience
• You are comfortable managing engineers working across all domains (mobile, frontend, backend, infrastructure and security)
• You are a strong written and oral communicator
• You have designed, built and scaled production mobile applications
• You have a deep understanding of building cloud infrastructure at scale on AWS or equivalent
• You know what high-quality code - and software engineering processes - look like and know how to foster an environment that creates them
