IT Technician Job Summary:
Trained in multiple technologies to provide manufacturing critical support for devices, printers, networks (including wireless), applications, and VoIP phones for a plant site.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Be hands-on support for any site/mfg. issue resolution and improvement needed.
- User Support:
- Responsibilities range from installation, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading computer hardware, peripherals and equipment to ensure optimal workplace performance.
- End to End support of User and local escalation for problem resolution
- Support of Change Management impacting Users
- Network (including wireless): Assist with troubleshooting local and wide area network problems. (e.g., HW support, console to device, check status and performance.)
- Server: Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. (e.g., HW support, Manage Backups, check status, and performance)
- Phones (VoIP):
- Install, configure, support VoIP
- Mobility devices:
- Configure and support company cell phones with MDM.
- Desktop: HW support, problem resolution, special SW install & support, vulnerability mgmt., KB updates, Compliance mgmt., and inventory mgmt.
- Lab & Mfg. Critical Application and Computer Support:
- Disaster/Data Recovery for Critical/Lab PC's (e.g. PCN/OMN Computers)
- Process Control support (e.g. Security patching, hardware and network support)
- Application Support:
- Office365
- Access 97-2016 (Mfg. dB support)
- Site Desktop Special Project Leader/Coordinator
- Printers:
- Responsible for procuring, configuring and supporting non-Ricoh critical printers.
- Provide SW support and site contact for Ricoh devices.
- Security: Manage compliance and response to Security issues and requirements for client devices
- Develop and maintain systems documentation and procedures
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
- Two-year Information Technology degree from an accredited post-secondary school or at least two years' experience supporting more than 200+ networked devices in a commercial setting.
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification preferred
- CompTIA Network+ or similar certification preferred but not required.
- Must be/stay up to date with current computing technologies and trends.
- Must be available for emergency, off-hours (24X7), and call-in support as necessary to keep manufacturing critical systems running.
Knowledge & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to support and maintain computers and networked devices.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of current computing and communications devices and protocols
- Advanced knowledge and hands on experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
