Technical Writer (all genders)

Beautiful technical writing can turn a simple piece of software into something special. At Bayes Esports we believe that technical writing helps us connect and form that special bond with our customers. We are looking for a technical writer who can not only write good texts but who also understands the development process, can read code and ideally has some experience in programming or scripting. You won't be creating dull Word documents here at Bayes, instead, you will be building an engaging and colorful customer documentation portal. You will be following up-to-date documentation approaches: docs-as-code, markup languages, and automated documentation builds. You will be using modern tools that will make you feel like a tech writing rock star. If you are passionate about writing and interested in pushing the boundaries of technical documentation work this is the position for you!

Tasks

• Maintain and create a Bayes Esports documentation portal which helps our customers integrate with our products
• Create and maintain technical articles in the internal knowledge base, create learning materials for your colleagues
• Explore and utilize the best practices for code-driven documentation, automate the documentation process
• Read code, make API requests, explore databases, work with GitTOOLS AND

FRAMEWORKS WE USE:

• Docusaurus, Confluence, Python, Typescript, React, Java, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, GitHub, Docker, AWS/Kubernetes

Requirements

• Experience in creating engaging technical documentation
• Basic knowledge of a programming language (Python, Java, or similar) and willingness to improve on those skills in the future
• Knowledge of high-level technical conceptsAbility to look at a document through the eyes of a reader
• Ability to create clear diagrams of technical infrastructure (knowledge of diagram generators like PlantUML or Graphviz would be a plus)
• Ability to create walkthroughs of Frontend Applications and explain the functionality to users
• Spoken and written proficiency in English
• Passion for esports
