Azure Operations Engineer

Client is seeking Azure Operations Engineer. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Bridgewater, NJ (New Jersey), or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
• This role requires experience with implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, and security.
• Working knowledge of key Azure services such as: VM, Storage, Azure SQL, VNet, Azure Notification Hubs, Azure Identity and Access Management, Infrastructure as Code etc.
• Working knowledge of Cloud solutions such as IAAS or PAAS.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work on issues related to performance tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring, and troubleshooting tools
• Provides expert consultation in cloud strategy, technical assessment, solution design, migration, and delivery of infrastructure-as-a-service and subsequent network, storage, and virtualization components.
• Experienced with CI and CD and DevOps.
• Familiarity with working in a Cloud based environment (i.e., Azure).
• Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation.
• Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources.
• Exceptional Organizational Skills.
• Effective communication skills - both written and verbal, the job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
