Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

At smartvokat, we assist clients in optimising their legal service delivery powered by state-of-the-art digital process management applications. As a member of smartvokat, you ll work in a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, management consultants, user-experience designers, legal technologists, and software engineers who apply a cross-disciplinary approach to legal, compliance and regulatory processes.

We are looking for new team members who possess robust experience in managing an early-stage SaaS product, are keen to explore uncharted territory, and enjoy enabling everyone to contribute their best work.

As a geographically dispersed and virtual team, we are looking for team players with excellent communication skills and a passion for early-stage companies. You will contribute to building our advisory solution stack as we scale and help growing our client base. Your presence will make a difference to both our solutions portfolio and the company.

Tasks

How you can contribute:

Our primary product at smartvokat is called Workflows. Workflows will allow non-technical personnel primarily lawyers and paralegals to harness the power of digitalisation and streamline their current processes. It will enable them to code without actually coding. Albeit not widely marketed, Workflows is already in production use.

• You will work with the development team and other stakeholders to align on requirements and timelines. Our team is distributed across Europe and Africa.
• Organize tasks through the entire project lifecycle from ideation, and development, to quality assurance and release.
• Assign work according to executing team based on knowledge and skill set.
• Proactively identify upcoming needs and risks, identify issues before they impact the team or product, and create mitigation plans as needed.
• Track the team bandwidth and project milestones, including a weekly/monthly reporting.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Extensive background in managing digital products/projects in an agile setting. Ideally a web-based SaaS product.
• Solid understanding of web technologies to align with the development team. Our tech stack is based around Node.js (with TypeScript) and React.
• Experience or the willingness to work in an early-stage company with fast-changing requirements and processes
• Strong leadership, organizational and negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues that impact quality, scope and schedule in a constructive manner
• Creativity and an open mindset coupled with a hands-on attitude.
• A strong intercultural competence.
• Contribution of own ideas, accountability and a strong team player.
• Fluent in English
