Backend Engineer (d/f/m)

Our core product is a trading and optimization solution for grid-scale batteries. We maximize their value both for the energy system and their owners. And therefore, we need you: An impact driven, ambitious and committed mind who shares our vision and values. Support us as a Backend Engineer to maximize our impact by building our optimization platform end-to-end and implementing our algorithms.

Your responsibilities

As a Backend Engineer, you will not only be shaping our energy transition platform end-to-end, but also implement or optimization and trading algorithms using Python, AWS:

• Writing structured and efficient code using Python and implementing the functionalities
• Build our optimization platform end-to-end, across dimensions such as data ingestion and processing, optimization logic implementation, battery control, automated power trading
• Implementation of our optimization and trading algorithms with focus on immediate go-lives as well as strategic, long-term focussed advancement of our platform
• Work cross-functionally, especially with data scientists to support them in the implementation of our optimization logic, automated trading execution, and battery control

Your profile

We re looking for an open and ambitious mindset to join our talented and motivated team sharing our passion for greenifying the energy system.

For Entrix, you would be a great match if you bring the following experiences and skills:

• 2-3 years of experience in the area of backend engineering
• 2+ years of programming experience with Python
• Strong understanding object-oriented design, software design patterns
• Familiar with AWS cloud platform, and services like Lambda, DynamoDb, ApiGW
• Strong problem solving skills that help you to constantly improve code and processes
• Interest to learn and experiment with new technologies and implement best practices in software development for agile environments
• Enjoying working in and shaping a dynamic, fast-paced working environment, preferably in the energy sector
• You think strategically and analytically. As much as you enjoy working with your colleagues, you take pleasure from building infrastructures and optimizing solutions for our optimization platform
• You are proficient in English
