About The Role

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the ICT Environments team in achieving goals for programs and projects, to support the initial development and future transition of ICT environments to business as usual support, including providing technical lead support and maintenance, as well as assessment and deployment of effective strategies to solve technical issues.



Requirements

Key Duties

Lead and manage the Environments team to achieve successful outcomes, including, but not limited to all phases of program/project delivery.

Provide specialist advice on technological solutions and the functionality of various applications to meet the needs of the business.

Actively lead a process of improvement to ensure appropriate resource management strategies and technological solutions, throughout the whole of the delivery and operational lifecycle of systems, processes and services, improving service delivery and productivity.

Define, document and apply appropriate project management methods and tools to carry out projects.

Manage implementation plans for complex requests for change and evaluate risks to the integrity of the service environment inherent in the proposed implementations.

Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviours including facilitating open communication and discussion between stakeholders to facilitate business decision making processes.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in managing individuals and providing direction, coaching and support as necessary to deliver customer focused support services.

Significant experience in configuring, managing and supporting complex information systems including drafting support documentation and reviewing, designing and implementing process improvements.

Significant experience with assessing/evaluating risks and investigating, defining and resolving complex issues.

Strong knowledge, understanding of and experience working in project management methodology, techniques and frameworks.

Experience with Linux and/or Windows and a broad knowledge in IT Infrastructure, Security management, Networks and database administration skills.


Desirable Skills and Experience:

Degree in information technology or related discipline, and ITIL qualification and / or competency at the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) level 5.

Experience working in a variety of IT services environments.

Personal Qualities required of Candidate(s):

High level social and written skills with ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.

Ability to work in a large team environment with members of diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Self-starter with high personal drive and a positive attitude.

Disciplined and accountable for supporting and maintaining work products.

Behaves in a respectful and professional manner, maintaining high integrity and transparency when delivering work.

Excellent problem solver and critical thinker.

Promotes teamwork and collaboration by engaging stakeholders and team members.
