SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (M/F/D)

As a Senior Software Engineer at CHRONEXT you will work on all facets of the IT solution development lifecycle. Following our project planning and prioritization process output, the engineering group provides a constant value stream to all business teams.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Scoping: In close collaboration with our project managers as well as key stakeholders from the business teams, you provide technical expertise and break down complex issues into measurable deliverables.
• Construction: You are responsible for implementing world-class enterprise software components that provide a great return on investment (cheap to scale, change and operate) using either KANBAN or lightweight SCRUM processes (we use what works best for the task at hand).
• Testing: In CHRONEXT IT, developers get to eat their own dog food. We do not currently operate a dedicated QA department, the responsibility of flawless shipping code is with the engineer. With a test-first approach, you ensure high-quality standards every day.
• Documentation: As required, you will produce dedicated documentation for architectural designs, end-user guides, process documentation and IT onboarding information.
• Operationalization: Upon completion of a project, you ensure a smooth handover into operations by producing training materials, process documentation or other support mechanisms.
• Project Ownership: You oversee and manage projects from beginning to end and you use your expertise to manage risk and escalate as needed.

• Experience: You bring at least 3-6 years of professional experience in software development (frontend/backend) and experience with agile development methodologies.
• Technology: PHP 7.4, Symfony 4, Vue.js, React, CI / CD, TDD, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices architecture and its deployment in the AWS-Cloud.
• Entrepreneur mindset: You act pragmatic and understand how your work fits in the bigger company picture
• Language: You speak English fluently - good German skills are a plus.
