As a Senior QA Engineer / Lead QA Engineer you will be responsible for advocating quality initiatives and guiding SDETs across GSG. The foremost opportunity is to work on all of our product suite: Browser extensions, deals websites, etc. We are looking for a tech-savvy, positive attitude person who is willing to learn and adapt to various technologies and the agile nature of our business. You will be joining at a growth stage of the business and will be instrumental in improving the delivery and quality processes and helping us set up for the future.

Experience - 8 to 11 years

Primary responsibility will be to understand existing architecture and technology and help mentor SDETs to achieve the test strategy across GSG s products, Build on the Automation framework suite we already have or come up with new frameworks as the requirements demand. You will also be responsible for coming up with industry-standard methods of implementing performance/scale testing across the products at GSG. Depending on the individual's interest, strengths and personal preference for technology and career aspirations, a training plan will be put in place. We are looking for someone who is confident in their approach and is part of a vocal team.

You will work very closely with the Founders, Engineering leaders, Product Manager and the rest of the delivery team. You will be provided hands-on training and guidance on the design & development of various software modules by our team. We believe an individual's role should depend on their skills and capabilities rather than years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Champion quality across all our products and projects
• Define Quality standards across GSG portfolio teams
• Research and define monitorability of Quality across all systems and mitigation strategy
• Understand the solutions end-to-end and create/follow a test strategy
• Help create and execute a test plan for all our projects and releases
• Be involved in all phases of Agile product delivery and collaborate to define acceptance criteria
• Automate all repetitive regression pain points and spend more time in new Business functionality and end-to-end testing
• Identify KPIs and help design mechanisms to monitor the same.
• Advocate Quality Initiatives into different teams and track the implementation of the same
• Mentor junior team members

• Good communication skills with ability to influence and advocate the strategy
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Good experience of Cloud-native architecture
• Should have great debugging experience in all layers of Architecture.
• Understanding of CI & CD and hands-on experience with implementation
• Good Understanding of Testing processes, Test Management tools and Integration with Automation pipelines
• Ability to write Test Automation frameworks from scratch and advocate different frameworks for different needs
• Thorough experience in API testing, Manual testing, Load testing, Security testing and UI testing.
• Experience with RESTFUL API Testing using Postman, Jmeter or similar tools
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases
• Knowledge of Networking concepts and its implementation in AWS
• Good exposure to industry standard test tools like WebdriverIO/Cypress/Puppeteer for UI Automation, frameworks like BDD/CucumberJS/Behave and reporting tools like JUnit/JSON/HTML/Allure
• Ability to write and run Load test runs with scripts and monitor the application performance with tools like Grafana/Datadog
• Experience in using Javascript / Python will be beneficial
• Knowledge of Browser extensions, Mobile Apps (both Native and Hybrid), responsive web apps, CMS
• Familiarity with AWS Architecture/Components and hands-on experience on AWS CLI desired
