Job Description

Our client, a not-for-profit, multi-facility organization specializing in health care, housing, and rehabilitative services for older adults. As a team member, you are free to work in an innovative environment with a number of bright minds that let your core strengths shine. Our client is seeking a full-time Financial Analyst who is interested in joining their dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining systems/tools for financial reporting analysis which includes statistical, trend and variance analysis to internal budgets and forecasts as well as external market/industry data for both current and past periods.
  • Responsible for reporting and making recommendations based on analysis to budgets/forecasts as well as industry data.
    • This includes reporting and dashboards from/between various electronic systems throughout the organization.
    • Report and make recommendation on the results of the analysis and variances noted to both internal and external sources.
  • Acts as lead in Room and Board revenue budget process as well as monthly revenue analysis.
    • Management of the Room and Board (CCRC and non CCRC) revenue budget process including template creation and maintenance. Also responsible for monthly revenue analysis comparing actual revenue to budget and trends, and the communication of this information to necessary parties (operations and financial reporting team).
  • Works closely with Financial Reporting team to understand facility specific financial reports as well as communicate results of monthly revenue analysis.
  • Responsible for the design and management tools necessary for statistical and trend analysis which includes comparisons to budgets/forecasts, other Phoebe locations as well as external industry benchmarks.
    • This includes obtaining all necessary industry information as necessary to maintain current comparative data.
  • Responsible for financial forecasting and modeling to assist executive leadership with making decisions based on Phoebe data and statistics.
  • Creation and management of revenue related dashboard functionality to meet the needs of operations leadership as well as admissions management
  • Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibit behavior as set forth by the Phoebe Ministries Code of Ethics and Business Integrity in the performance of their duties.
  • Adheres to the Organizations Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any concerns.
  • Follows all local, state, and federal regulations as they pertain to their position.

  • Attends all corporate mandatory in-service training programs and required meetings
  • Preforms tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the position but may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, proficient reading, writing, grammar, computer, and mathematics skills.
  • proficiency in interpreting, analyzing, and reporting financial information.
  • thorough knowledge of accounting, forecasting, and budgeting procedures.
  • knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and federal and state regulations governing long-term health care operations; excellent communicative, organizational and time management skills.
  • independent, self-motivating, strategic thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
  • knowledge of ERP systems (i.e., Microsoft NAV, PointClickCare etc.) as well as data management/analytic tools (i.e., BI360, Power BI etc.).
  • B.S. degree with concentration in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or similar related field
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a Financial Reporting Analyst or similar role, preferably in a health care related industry.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation procedures, budget preparation, financial modeling/forecasting, and statistical trending.
