We are looking for a chef to prepare our dishes based on recipes. In addition to preparing dishes, you will also be responsible for planning and purchasing food. Another important task is the correct storage of food and ingredients and the observance of legal regulations regarding hygiene.
Tasks
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
- Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check the quality of ingredients
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a chef de partie or in a comparable position
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations and general structures
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine is an advantage
- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends
- Fluent English is a must, Italian is a great advantage
- Training as a chef or proof of attendance at cooking schools an advantage
