Your mission

You take responsibility in changing the way healthcare works in Europe and beyond. With your work you help 1 Mio people in 2028 to get the best possible treatment at the right doctors or clinics. For achieving this you leverage technology for our employees and customers, so they apply their expertise more effectively and efficiently.

• Define and evolve the betterdoc cloud infrastructure
• Own incident response, change management, and observability
• Plan the infrastructure budgets and manage costs
• Work across departments within engineering to improve the quality, security, and performance of the product
• Ensure secure operations and demonstrate compliance through recognised standards
• Work with other engineering stakeholders on resolving larger architectural bottlenecks and participate by offering a large scale operational point of view.
• Work in close collaboration with software development teams to shape the future roadmap and establish strong operational readiness across teams
• Improve the happiness and productivity of the teams
• As betterdoc grows you gradually build and lead your team

Your profile

• 2-5 years managing software engineering, SRE, DevOps, or similar teams
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and SoC2 is a plus
• Experience operating a secure, consumer scale platform
• Experience with management of a dispersed team
• Computer science education or equivalent experience
• Interest in open source and developer tools
• Exquisite communication skills
• Deep understanding of AWS, Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi)
