We deal with a number of large companies ranging from markets including, EV Battery Management, 5G, telecommunications and AMS.
To strengthen for our team, we are looking for a new member to join our European team.
Sales Design Engineer
Tasks
- Target is 2-3 customer visits per day with design engineers, minimum 120 visits per year. One customer visit per day is acceptable after an approval in advance is given by the regional sales manager.
- Meeting with engineers is a priority and preferred, meeting purchasing functions is possible if needed with an advance approval from the RSM and as long as it is part of the technical meeting only.
- At least 2 demo presentations per week, minimum 50 per year.
- Update travel calendar with customer visits schedule
- Update the design-in follow up matrix every week with the relevant CSR and send every Monday-Tuesday after receiving the required information from the relevant customer service, who should also complete their part in the matrix.
- Visit new customers initiated by the FDE and as provided by the RSM or Sales & Marketing Director
- Follow-up after ongoing design-ins or design-wins until Production level (BOM, Customer P/N) (Compulsory)
- Work daily with the CSR, develop new opportunities together and follow up after existing business in your region.
- Work on a weekly basis with the Application Engineers on non-standard projects.
- Provide an expenses report
- Check the POS reports every month.
- Respond to customer inquiries via E-mail
- Prepare folders with the Foil s publications for each visit. (Datasheets, Facts at a Glance etc.)
- Be aware of all the Foil standard products, Foil publications and non-standard capabilities.
- Arrange technical conference calls with customers and application engineers as needed.
- Be knowledgeable and support all of VPG Brands- VFR, Powertron, Alpha and APR
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering degree or an equivalent qualification
- Work experiences in technical sales and marketing
- Languages English and German, English, German and Italian/Spanish- advantage
- Willing to work in a team
- Customer oriented, accurate and attentive to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines
