(Senior) Backend Developer - PHP (m/f/d)

About the Job

We re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer - PHP (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies and build its innovative technical improvement strategies.

In your day-to-day work, you ll focus on implementing highly scalable platforms and get the opportunity to contribute to various projects.

Join our portfolio company: A German customer service platform focused on connecting companies with support experts located around the globe. The startup collaborates with more than 30,000 service professionals, enabling them to offer remote support to companies through its innovative digital platform.

In this role, you ll:

• Participate in the entire development process from planning and discussing the architecture to quality assurance and the implementation of highly scalable platforms
• Drive the design and development of new innovative features from the technical point of view
• Build scalable, low-latency pipelines and components to handle large volumes of data
• Develop your own ideas for code and process improvements and work together with your team to reach the next level
• Ensure the quality of our applications/platforms through regular code reviews
• Share and expand your knowledge by exchanging information within the IT team and within the network of developers about backend best-practices

Your Profile

• 3+ years of experience as a backend developer with PHP, MySQL and Linux
• Work in a solution-oriented manner, thinking responsibly and pragmatically at the same time and enjoy taking on challenges
• Able to recognise problems as opportunities for further development and transform them into safe and efficient algorithms
• Know how to work successfully in a cross-functional team
• University degree in computer science or similar or comparable knowledge
• Fluency in English, German is a plus

Please note that we re looking for support in the Munich/Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
