Linux Systemengineer (f/m/d) - Hosting IT-Infrastructure Services

Your Tasks:

For the operation of the global, linux-based infrastructure service at 1&1 IONOS we are looking for an experienced and Linux-savvy system engineer. We give you your own responsibility and creative possibilities to ensure the reliable operation of the extensive and worldwide services together with a competent team and to drive its development further.

• You administer our various IT infrastructure services (as f.ex. Webserver, Haproxy, Puppet, Grafana, Prometheus, Git/Svn) running on several hundred systems in multiple datacenters around the world, and you ensure their high availability.
• You analyze problems, eliminate faults within the scope of the respective ITIL processes and document them.
• You will do performance analysis and optimization and also evaluate new technologies.
• In addition, you will participate in a rotating 2nd level on-call support together with the team.

We Appreciate:

It is important for us that you have a solid knowledge of Linux systems, are interested in system administration, are motivated, eager to learn and that you are willing to share your knowledge with others.

• Several years of professional experience in the administration of Linux server systems
• Solid knowledge of Linux system administration (SSH, Bash, etc.) is a prerequisite. Ideally already experience in the administration of larger Linux environments and knowledge about the associated challenges.
• Know-how in script languages like Python, Ruby complete your profile.
• Good English skills, structured and independent way of working as well as the ability to work in a team, communicative and open-minded appearance towards our internal partners are also no problem for you.
