About the Position

Do you have experience with partner strategy and business model development for innovative new products? Do you enjoy getting creative and hands-on with coming up with new partner offers and pitching them to prospects?

uptodate Ventures GmbH, the corporate startup of Versicherungskammer Bayern located in Munich, is looking for a "Sr. Partner Development Manager (m/f/d)" as soon as possible.
We develop innovative solutions with the goal of creating a digital ecosystem around the topic of life and living, which makes people's everyday lives easier. In doing so, we focus on the topics of sustainability, health, security. Our current offering includes our own digital services such as our smartphone app Earnest on sustainable living (with over 600K downloads the widest-reaching app on the topic in Germany) as well as a portfolio of topic-related products & services on our online platform. At the same time, we are working on exciting new offerings on currently important topics for our customers, such as support for sustainable building measures like photovoltaics. At uptodate, an agile startup culture and a focus on innovation is combined with a solid investor.

Your tasks

  • Working closely with the product teams you will help shape the uptodate partner strategy through innovative new partner offers and business models based on the company strategic direction and your own research & assessment
  • Create and execute the product partner strategy and execution plan, inclusive of partner business model development, marketing and sales enablement, pitch materials and technical/feature enablement
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement necessary features and initiatives
  • Pitch potential partners, get them excited about the offer and negotiate the best results for uptodate
  • Track and report on progress and findings and decide on course of action, including plan for scaling if applicable

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies
  • 2-5 years of experience in partner development or business development, preferably for/in a startup environment
  • Experience working autonomously to devise partner strategy, thinking through partner business models and successfully executing on a partner development plan
  • Experience creating pitch decks, pitching new ideas to potential partners with confidence and negotiating the best results for a company
  • Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams including product, technical and marketing
  • Ability to think out of the box while keeping the big picture in mind; roll up the sleeves attitude & bias for action; comfortable with high degree of ambiguity
  • Very good communication & presentation skills in German and English
