Senior Linux Engineer

GSCF offers innovative SCF solutions to leading banks, non-bank investors, large, suppliers, and their buyers through its in-house developed platform.

To support our IT Infrastructure & Security team, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced:

Senior Linux Engineer

Tasks

• Ensuring trouble-free and permanent operation of the IT infrastructure
• Administration and development of the complex Linux environment
• Infrastructure Automation (configuration-management)
• Creating and updating documentation
• Close collaboration with Windows engineering, software development and other business units
• Trend scouting (focus on technology and security)
• Second-level support/troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical problems

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in the Linux environment, preferably in a similar position/environment
• Excellent Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills
• Sound knowledge in Linux monitoring
• Good practical knowledge of Ansible, hands-on with Git/GitLab and Jira
• Cloud experience (Azure) and hands-on with containerization are very
  beneficial
• Practical scripting knowledge (shell/bash, Python)
• Good knowledge of security standards and practices
• High level of security awareness
• Understanding cloud technology and containers is an advantage
• Team player with multicultural sensitivity
• Entrepreneurial, innovative thinking and acting
• High demand for quality, conceptual understanding, and attention to detail
• Good analytical skills and fast comprehension
• Good knowledge of the entire IT infrastructure environment
• Excellent English skills
• Ability for on-call duty
