Tasks

We are looking for a legal advisor to provide legal guidance on a range of topics related to our product:

  • Build and maintain Tilta s legal and regulatory framework for its new B2B Buy-Now-Pay-Later product, including

- Financial Service licensing and regulation, including fronting

- Structured refinancing including loan purchasing agreements

- Partner service agreements

- End-customer loan agreements

  • Collaborate with other teams to help design and deliver solutions that are compliant with local legislation as well as PSD II and banking regulations
  • Be the inhouse interface to our external data protection officer
  • Manage regulatory expectations, requirements and applications
  • Proactively engage and work alongside local regulators in Germany
  • Provide advice on commercial legal aspects

Requirements

  • Min. 3 years professional experience with a recognised law firm or equivalent in-house experience
  • Excellent English and German language skills (C1 or above)
  • Fully qualified lawyer approved to act within Germany
  • In-depth experience with bank law and financial services regulation in Germany and the EU
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Hands on and getting things done attitude
  • Legal expertise in payments products and/or securitisation is a plus
