Farm21 is looking for a mobile (Ionic) developer who likes to work in a highly dynamic Agritech startup. While we currently have a small team, we are active in 15 countries.

Our online platform provides farmers with advice and actions needed for optimal crop cultivation. If a grower follows these recommendations, less resources are used to achieve better yields. Fine grid data is gathered by our field sensors and from external data sources (weather, soil information, satellite etc.).

Our endgame also includes a proposition for smallholder farmers. They are responsible for 80% of the food consumed in developing countries. We believe that they need to be part of the digitalisation of agriculture to solve the world food crisis. We can help to increase their yields, providing them with a better income and the world with more food.

As a Farm21 developer, you can make a huge impact on the way growers and crop advisors work with data to make the best cultivation decisions possible.

Tasks

Mobile
At this moment we have a limited mobile app made in AppGyver. Customers are happy having some of our functionality available on their phone.

We are planning to replace this with a full blown mobile app which we develop and maintain in house. With this, we want to give our users even more convenience and insight. Together with the UX/UI, we will research, determine the scope and then realise this in an Ionic app. Because we work with Angular for our web-platform, this will also be the focus for the app.

Responsibilities

• Work together with our UX/UI'ers and other developers in an agile process to implement new features
• Build and maintain our mobile app
• Monitor our dev-ops process (CI with Gitlab etc)

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree/level or higher
• Experience with mobile development in Ionic
• Experience with Git(lab)
• Experience with REST API's
• Fluent in English
