Senior Field Application Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission

With rich data streams coming from our LiDAR sensors we are creating insights about real world processes in a wide variety of environments. As Senior Field Application Engineer (m/f/d) you are conceptualizing solutions, plan rollouts and drive customer projects in a certain application field (Security, Crowd Analytics or Volume Measurement), e.g. within airports, mining facilities or shopping centres. Together with your technically diverse and motivated colleagues, you use state-of-the-art LiDAR sensors and software for environment perception to create actionable data for our customers. In doing so, you will thoroughly understand the requirements of our key customers, find creative solutions and implement them in a successful way. Together with our great team you will conquer new and exciting application areas and actively shape the LiDAR world of the future!

Your tasks

• You lead the realization of customer applications in a certain field (Security, Crowd Analytics or Volume Measurement) on-site / remotely and enable the customer to work with our LiDAR solutions
• You understand how our solutions can efficiently solve customer's problems and technically consult the customer (e.g. use-case analysis, feasibility, sensor layout, product choice, hw/sw product configuration)
• You are working cross-functional together with object recognition (software development), product management, sales, project management and the customer's team
• You take the technical lead in various developments, such as specific customer solutions and evaluation and integration tools
• You conceptuate requirements for our HW and SW development and drive them to implementation
• You plan / simulate sensor coverage layouts and develop suitable network architectures as well as solutions for sensor mounting and HW/SW integration
• You keep cool even in turbulent project phases and find a solution in challenging situations

Your profile

• You have a Master s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• You have sound practical experience in planning and realizing larger customer projects, ideally in the area of optical sensors, robotics, computer vision
• You are a hands-on and pro-active person, creative problem solver and approach challenges structured and analytical
• You have good knowledge in at least one programming language (preferably in C++ or Python); experience in Git, ROS, basic network infrastructure would be a big plus
• You have good methodical skills (project management, agile development)
• You have good knowledge in data analysis
• You have very good communication skills in English or German
