Project description:
As a software development engineer you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge aircraft control and monitoring systems. You will join a team of engineers designing operating software and application software, which is working on next generation controllers for electrical aircrafts.
Tasks:
- Developing safety critical embedded real time software for aircraft systems according to RTCA/DO-178B, Level A to Level D
- Taking part in the entire development process, including coding, debugging, integration and documentation as "Statement of Works" for potential suppliers
- Defining low level software requirements as well as supporting the team with high-level requirements specification
- Being responsible for change management and configuration control
Skills:
- Graduate Software Engineer or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired by other means
- Professional experience (3 years+) developing safety critical software in the aerospace industry according to DO-178C
- Good knowledge of programming in C or Assembler
- Hands-on experience with at least one scripting language, preferably Python
- Experience with specification of high- and low-level software requirements (SRS, SDDD) in DOORS or a similar tool
- High flexibility and adaptability as well as an autonomous working style within a professional development team
- Fluent English skills written and spoken a big plus would also be:
- Experience within the usage of hardware in the loop test facilities
- Experience with a debugger, preferrably Lauterbach
- Knowledege of MISRA guidelines (C)
- Configuration management know-how with SVN, IBM Rational Synergy/Change, Serena Dimensions or similar
- Fluent German skills
