Full-stack senior developer

We are looking for a senior-level full-stack developer to join our small but growing team in Berlin. You will be designing and building a scalable platform with front-end, back-end and API components with our CTO and 1 to 2 other developers in the team.

Frameright is a technology startup building an Image Display Control (IDC) solution to adjust how images behave in digital environments. Our augmented intelligence approach combines AI with a web application, making it easy to manage how images get cropped no matter where they are displayed. Image Display Control is crucial to e-commerce, marketing, but also to journalism, media and all content creators. We also want to free developers from wasting their time on hacky CSS tweaks and instead empower everyone to control how pictures are displayed. We are building a better internet for image assets.

Our office is in one of the most vibrant corners of Berlin, and we have a very flexible work-from-office/work-from-home approach. Tasks

As a senior developer, you will be working on the design and implementation of our SaaS platform. This includes improvements to our web application front-end, extending our backend and building new internal and external APIs. You will also make technology and architecture decisions, guiding the direction of our technology development.

We believe in building something that can benefit as many people as possible. In addition to open-sourcing libraries and tools that make using and integrating Frameright easier, we would love to share other parts of our technology as well.

Personal development and picking up new interesting themes and technologies as part of your work is encouraged. These can range from technical and non-technical topics, such as photography, DevOps, cloud environments, ML and UX.

Relevant skills:

Full-Stack Development, Javascript, React.js, Redux.js, Node.js, Express.js, Relational and Document Databases

Additional skills:

CI/CD, Testing, Cloud Environments, Metadata, Media Technology, Photography, Machine Learning

Photography, visual culture and digital asset management should be close to your heart. Frameright is about defining, generating and delivering the right crops and sizes of images at the right time through embedded metadata. We cover the touchpoints between image editors and CDNs and integrate with different Content Management and Digital Asset Management systems. Familiarity with asset pipelines in media, ecommerce and advertising can be beneficial.
