Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Security or Technology related major, or closely allied field AND ten years of related experience.
o Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), architecture design and IT operations.
o 5+ years of experience in a cloud security operations and management role or related position.
o At least 8 years of information security and engineering experience to include:
Security control deployment and administration.
Design and implementation of security tools, processes, and procedures.
Incident Response and Incident Handling.
Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, vulnerability assessment, server administration and configuration baselines.
o Experience in integrating Content Delivery Network (CDN) using tools such as Cloudflare.
o Experience in management and maintenance of SIEM technologies.
o In-depth understanding of Kubernetes Architecture and Container/OS technologies.
Additional required qualifications specific to this work request include:
o Strong advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze logs, systems changes, and system health for root cause.
o Experience developing and documenting business processes and workflows.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow-through on issues in a timely manner.
o Motivated self-starter with initiative to take independent action and accept responsibility for your actions.
o Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Desired qualifications specific to this work request include:
o Experience with administering serverless, cloud-based enterprise applications and environments.
o Experience with cloud security in Microsoft Azure.
o Excellent understanding of standards and guidelines in areas of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Publication 1075, Minimum Acceptable Risk Standards for Exchanges (MARS-E), National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST).
o Experience in supporting Federal Audits such as IRS Audit or CMS Assessment.
o CompTia Security+, CISSP or other industry recognized certifications.
o Experience in the government and/or health care fields with exposure to marketing, public relations, public affairs, or closely allied disciplines.
