We have a part-time opportunity for a Black Box Electronic Hardware Engineering Intern to join our Aerospace Engineering team in Brno.

As a member of the Flight Recorders engineering team, you will be part of an organization which is responsible for development of innovative flight recorders technology (also known as Black Boxes).

In this position you will be given an opportunity to be a part of processes geared towards development of innovative products, allowing you to gain experience in an exciting niche within the aerospace engineering field and build up unique subject domain expertise (flight recorders cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders), which in past helped to shape and improve safety of air traffic. With time, there is possibility to move to a full-time role and further develop you career in a supportive, international environment that Honeywell fosters.

Honeywell has been an industry leader in data recorders for the commercial aviation industry for decades, and has installed Recorders in most of the major aircraft platforms (Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Dassault, ).

Tasks

Responsibilities

  • Lab owner tracking inventory, management, setup and other related activities
  • Test bench setups for different Recorders V&V activities
  • Ownership of lab Confluence pages, testing documentation
  • Cooperate closely with Systems & Software engineering teams
  • Propose and drive changes in Electronic HW design to reduce manufacturing cost, improve reliability of the existing products
  • Participate on development of new generation of recorders aircraft image recorders, helicopter recorders: requirements development (reviews in case of development performed by supplier), Electronic HW Design, PCB Design, Requirements verification, Process Assurance
  • Interaction with the relevant suppliers and customers

Requirements

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related.
  • Knowledge of electrical design features is crucial - schematics, signal flow, electrical components, root cause analysis and understanding of technical drawings.
  • Very good level of English language (B2 as a minimum).
  • Independent and fast learner, strong team player with a proactive mindset.
