Job Description

Objectives of this Role

Senior Proposal Engineers at CRA work closely with the client to understand their requirement and provide solutions for their application. They establish trust with the client and work towards closing deals. They also maintain long-lasting relationships with clients and continue to serve as the point-of-contact for their clients for after-sales and service support


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Own the client relationship and proposal generation process from initial client contact through order acceptance
  • Maintain a deep technical and commercial understanding of CRA s products and various applications for which they are used
  • Analyze and interpret technical requirements of the client design and specify appropriate equipment for the application
  • Engage and advice the client and establish trust in CRA s competence, capabilities, and products
  • Maintain and actively utilize the CRM software to increase conversion rates and provide an unparalleled customer experience
  • Create techno commercial proposals by working closely with the engineering, projects and executive team ensuring the most complete offering with the greatest potential for award and contract
  • Discover and create techno commercial bids for tenders of various organizations
  • Negotiate technical details, commercials, and terms and conditions with the customer
  • Review project scheduling requirements with the projects team to accurately determine delivery timelines for the clients
  • Take responsibility for resolving the final project scope, including all commercial and technical issues and final order acceptance
  • Create the complete package that will be handed over to the projects team for engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and execution
  • Regularly check-in with the clients and projects team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the projects as finalized during the proposal stage
  • Regularly check in with the projects team to check for scope-creep and ensure that any variations are commercially accounted for
  • Maintain long-lasting relationships with clients and continue to serve as the point-of-contact for their clients for after-sales and service support
  • Create strategies towards ensuring sales and applications team meets sales performance target
  • Regularly generate reports of sales team performance, and update relevant stakeholders during status review meetings



Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • BTech in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical sales role
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with a CRM system
  • Excellent documentation and file management skills
  • Bidding and techno commercial development experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a full-scale CRM system, including quantitative reporting
  • 2+ years of combustion-related applications engineering or process design experience
  • Experience in working with a global clientele
