Job Description

PRI is seeking a full-time Equipment Management Clerk. The candidate will support the equipment management unit to establish, monitor, and maintain accountable equipment and information technology equipment (ITE) inventories supportingthe Logistics Material Control Activity at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland, AFB, NM.Personnel will perform a variety of activities including, but not limited to, the service functions listed below.

1) Research applicable classification of items and create standardized catalogs for each new item received and managed

2) Process updates to Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and Automated Inventory Management (AIM) accountable property management applications

3) Perform research of allowance standards and create authorizations to maintain accountability of equipment authorization, ensuring compliance to government material management policies

4) Maintain documentation for auditable transactions, inventory reports, equipment custodian training/assignment and other related material in a master file for each organizational account

5) Schedule and perform joint inventories of managed equipment, document results, and update account information to reflect actions

6) Conduct training sessions for newly assigned custodians, provide hand-outs/examples of their responsibilities

7) Provide customer service to equipment management questions as needed

8) Post transactions to databases in a timely and accurate manner in order to maintain an automated record of activities for each cataloged asset

9) Process transfers of accountable equipment within the organization

10) Submit reports of excess equipment to other government research and development technical directorates and process transfers upon request



Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years of Air Force supply equipment management experience highly desired.
  • Knowledge & experience in a service-based environment.
  • Strong customer focus, willingness & ability to meet customer expectations.
  • Exceptional client interaction skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with DPAS and ILS-S highly desired
  • Applicants must be eligible to receive a DoD Secret security clearance
