Ruby on Rails Developer

This is a remote position.

an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer with at least 3 years of experience. As a developer on our team, and with the general supervision of the Software Development Manager, you will assist with design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of products, as well as maintenance and support.

Responsibilities

Provide support for existing systems.

Work independently and within a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects.

Work with team to carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development and create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing.

Review project requirement and assess and estimate the necessary time-to-completion.

Document new developments, procedures, or test plans as needed.

Interact with other development teams to ensure a consistent, uniform approach to software development.

Prepare technical design documents using enterprise standard documentation tools.

Support systems testing by following up on and closing defect tickets in a timely manner.

Deploy all integration artifacts to testing and production environments.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field OR will consider years of experience

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Ruby on Rails developer, working in an Agile development environment.

2+ years of experience with SQL, Linux, and JavaScript

Postgres Database Experience

Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.

Familiarity with event-driven application architecture.

Know your way around a Linux server.

Basic familiarity with modern frontend tools, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS. Knows HTTP inside and out, explicitly.

Knowledge of source control tools, especially GIT.
