PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Adapt IT has an opportunity for a new IT Manager to join our technology team. This position would lead our national desktop support team and be involved with the design, deployment and support of technology as a shared service.
Doing well in this position will assist us to operate dependably, grow safely, and increase efficiencies using new technologies. The position requires a diverse set of skills with access to multiple technology platforms ranging from monitoring and reporting to automation.

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science (or similar)
ITIL certified
Experience
5+ years of experience as a manager
Experience working for similarly sized or larger (>1 000 staff) companies advantageous.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFUCATION
Certifications and/or experience in the following areas advantageous.
- Endpoint protection (Crowdstrike/Similar)
- Email security (Mimecast/Similar)
- Microsoft
o AD, AAD
o Intune
o SCOM
o SCCM
o PowerBi
o Power Platform
o SharePoint
o Teams
- Monitoring tools (PRTG/Similar)
- Firewalls (Fortigate/Similar)
- IT Helpdesk (Freshservice/Similar)
- IT Governance frameworks (ITIL/COBIT)
- IT Security frameworks (NIST/ISO27001)
- ISACA CISM/CISSP
- Telephony (Cisco CUCM/Similar)
- Networking (Cisco CCNA/Similar)
Important to Note:
- Position based at JHB campus and applicant to be based within easy driving distance of the office.
- This position is client facing and as such requires this resource be on site daily.
