Job Description
- Highly sought after NSW Government Organisation
- Up to $800 per day
- 6 months contract
Our client is a large NSW Government Or who are seeking SQL DBA Cloud Engineerto join their team.
The Senior Systems Officer Technical Engineer role handles design, plan, deployment and management of cloud infrastructure and workloads. The role is also responsible for performance and business roadmap activities including migration, transformation and maintenance of cloud workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cloud workload performance and work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues to ensure a high-quality level of security, resiliency, stability including cost and performance optimization.
- Design, plan, manage product life cycles within the product team focusing on all infrastructure components including backend database, middleware and presentation layer.
- Identify opportunities for automation, make recommendations and implement procedures to improve operational capabilities
- Develop detailed technical documentation in collaboration with the team and key stakeholders, build knowledge management tools to improve collective expertise and adoption of Products and Platforms.
- Utilise a data driven approach to analyse and problem solve complex technical issues with a high level of ambiguity to improve reliability, availability and achieve quality metrics.
- Proactively build knowledge in technologies related to provider solutions, Services and Capabilities, including Public Cloud technologies and associated Infrastructure as code practices
Selection Criteria:
- Extensive experience and/or qualifications with design, build and operations (DevFinOps) of public cloud environment services, including documentation, in a large and complex shared services environment
- Advanced level skillset with Scripting, Version control and any other Code based experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with provider and platform services including, but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Networking / Firewall components aswell as knowledge of Windows, Linux, Database, Storage and Backup in cloud environments.
On offer is a 6 - month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
